STS is a Christian College that was established in 1988 to train pastors, church workers, and lay Christians in response to Christ’s Great Commission. The 10-acre site is located on Signal Hill adjacent to the center of the busy city of Kota Kinabalu. The facilities include an administration and teaching block, a chapel, lecturers’ apartments, a students’ hostel, and a computerized library. The program combines high academic standards in the study of theology with effective practical training in, people-skills and Christian ministry within an Asian context.
STS will like to upgrade all its Wi-Fi Coverage with centralized network management. The current Wi-Fi covers the Administration Building, EC Building, and Wisma STS. Students can gain internet access in the IT Lab, the Library, and the Administration Building. IT lab provides students with computer services. They also needed to extend the Wi-Fi coverage to the student’s hostel.
With EnGenius AI-Cloud, STS manages to complete the upgrade despite the pandemic. The system integrator deploys the solution provision and pre-configure all the Wireless AP on switches on Cloud. The on-site deployment is done swiftly and without disruption to the daily operation and activities on the campus. The Cloud-to-Go APP also helped the IT staff monitor the network easily and easily adjust the network.
The whole campus is well-covered with reliable and stable Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi access is also able to reach the student hostels, Libraries, and IT labs. The IT support is being alerted via a notification on the Cloud-to-Go APP if there are any network issues in the designated areas.
